Showing your site on staging
A fixed address where your client or colleagues can see the site before it goes live.
Staging is a fixed address where you can show your site before it goes live, for example to a client or a colleague. Anyone who knows the address can see the site without signing in. Staging doesn't show up in search engines.
Your staging address
Every site has its own staging address on kintsuweb.be, such as bakkerij-peeters-d8rrf.kintsuweb.be. The characters at the end are a code, so nobody can guess the address. You'll find it in the Site App, in your site's Overview, under Staging.
Sending your drafts to staging
Click Send to staging in your site's Overview, or To staging next to Share in the editor. Within a few seconds, all drafts appear on the staging address. Your live site doesn't change.
Whatever is on staging stays there until someone sends the site to staging again or publishes it. Anyone who can edit the site can send it to staging.
Publishing
When you publish, the same version also goes to staging. That way, staging never lags behind your live site.
A different address
Prefer a name of your own, such as bakkerij-peeters-test.kintsuweb.be? Under Staging, click Change the address, or go to Settings › Staging address. The old address then stops working. Only the designer can change the address; in Kintsu Studio, the owner can too.
Staging or a preview link?
Staging: always the same address. Useful for a meeting with a client, or while you build a new site.
Preview link (Share in the editor): a new link every time, valid for 14 days. Useful for quickly showing a single change.
Stuck?
Email us at contact@kintsu.be with the name of your site and what you tried. You'll get an answer within two working days.
