Help›Connect your domain

Connect your domain

Your site on your own domain name: the records to add at your provider, and how long it takes.

Your domain name, such as yourcompany.be, is something you buy yourself, from a provider of your choice, in your own name. That way, it always stays yours.

Connecting

  1. In the Site App, go to Domains and add your domain, without www.

  2. Kintsu shows the records you need: a TXT record named _kintsu, which proves the domain is yours, a CNAME for www, and an A record and an AAAA record for the domain itself.

  3. Add those records in your provider's DNS settings. Don't know how? Send us the name of your provider, and we'll help.

  4. Click Check now. Kintsu also checks automatically every few minutes.

As soon as the records are right, your domain gets a certificate and your site goes live on it. A DNS change can take up to 24 hours to take effect.

Your email

Your email keeps working: we only ask for records for your website, not for your email.

With or without www

By default, your site is at www.yourcompany.be, and anyone who types yourcompany.be is sent there automatically. Prefer it without www? You can set that under Domains.

Stuck?

Email us at contact@kintsu.be with the name of your site and what you tried. You'll get an answer within two working days.
